Canciones Filipinas Y Europeas: A Roaring Success!

07/30/2024

The 1st Filipino Concert Features in Tokyo City was a huge success, opening more doors and opportunities to connect with our Filipino and international communities in Japan through our rich musical and cultural heritage. We thank our first Filipino artist, Cipriano de Guzman, Jr., Filipino Baritone, from Luxembourg.

Ideareve Ikegami Hall- It was a pleasant Saturday evening of July 20th, as Japan's summer officially began. Usually, the days start hot and humid, and rain showers and thunderstorms conclude the day, but not the day of our concert. It was a nice summer evening here in the historic village of Ikegami. What I love about this quaint village is its authenticity, uniqueness, and simplicity, surrounded by numerous big and small shrines, luscious trees and flowers, residential houses, and many well-kept centennial houses, stores, and cafes. And so, these qualities add a special touch for holding a soiree or mini-concerts especially here at Ideareve Ikegami Hall, a newly built hall for specialized for intimate concerts in Tokyo city.

A Massive Thanks!

Our concert was filled with so wonderful audiences! Through this concert, we were able to meet a lot of new friends from the Filipino community. We wouldn't have known them if the concert didn't happen. Some of our dearest friends in Tokyo also came and we are immensely grateful for all your support! You, as audience, have given us so much positive energy, roaring applauses, and deep appreciation with the music we were performing. It certainly made our performance even better with your heartwarming responses.

Next Concert Features...

The main goal of this concert feature is to promote the rich cultural and musical heritage of the Philippines to the Tokyo international communities. We are very happy with the outcome of the first Filipino concert features and there will be more coming in the next years. We will be inviting and showcasing Filipino world-class talent, based in Japan and from abroad, and be able to connect more to our Filipino communities and international communities here in Tokyo. I hope you will support us in our future performances! Mabuhay!
